Bio-Repository Manager

Facility Management of our state of the art Bio-repository located in Gaithersburg. It includes the following tasks:

Responsible for daily temperature and security maintenance of the facility, freezers & cold rooms.
Respond to emergency calls by monitoring system.
Be able to perform database entry and generate necessary paperwork.
Weekly QA/QC for all the storage equipment in the facility, back up power generator, monitoring system and bulk liquid nitrogen tank.
Maintain sufficient supply of Liquid Nitrogen for the feeder tank and fuel for the back up generator.
Responsible for shipment and handling of the bio-specimens according to department of transportation regulations.

Associates Degree or equivalent training in engineering preferably environmental and mechanical engineering and exposure to electronics
Comfortable with Computers with working knowledge of MS Office (MS word, MS Excel, MS Power point and MS Access).
Technical background with knowledge of basic biology terms, preferred.
Past Experience associated with bio-repositories a big plus. If not, be willing to learn about handling biohazard materials for shipments or transfers.
